Seven months! Seven months, this is the time necessary for the superb, brand new Thai Airways A380 to carry in its hold 1.5 metric ton of humanitarian supplies! For our Midi-Pyrénées ‘s delegation  it was a real premiere and we foresee a future to this experience, as we shall see later.

It was the first time that they had visited Dragon 75.

These children, who suffer from neuro-congenital pathologies, both short-stay and long-stay patients, are looked after by the Healthcare Centre for after-care and rehabilitation, at the Saint Maurice Hospitals in the Val de Marne 'département'. It was the first time that they had visited Dragon 75, and they had been really looking forward to it for weeks.

ASF first European NGO to receive an Aircraft Operator Certificate (AOC)

The AOC attests that ASF complies with the same safety requirements as any airline company.

After a little more than two years taking advantage of THS Niger's hospitality, which had kindly accepted our two planes in its fleet, ASF has just received from the French Civil Aviation, a European Aircraft Operator Certificate (AOC).
 
This accreditation is an event for Aviation Sans Frontières, as it attests that our association, by its operation and equipment fulfill the safety requirements of the public air transport.

Coumba Sy Cherif has been working for years as aProject Leader in Specialised Care at Terre des Hommes in Nouakchott.  Within the framework of a partnership with ASF, she was in charge of organising escorts for children requiring urgent medical care from Mauritania for more than 15 years. In Mauritania, Coumba Sy Cherif plays an active part in the Committee on Solidarity with the Victims of Human Rights Violations (Comité de Solidarité avec les Victimes des Violations des Droits Humains).

A call from Clermont Ferrand requests our help to send a medicine which is vital for the survival of an 11 years old girl who had been operated on by the neurosurgeon Abel Kabre of the Yalgado Ouedraogo Hospital in Burkina Faso.
 
It must be sent on to morrow, Saturday 3rd of March on the flight to Ougadougou which leaves at 4 PM. The medicine arrives at Orly on Friday evening at 8:15 PM.
