visites aéronautiques_ Evreux 2011

It is within the framework of  "Smiling Wings" that a new activity was initiated in the Ile de France region.

When the sunny season has gone, and La Ferté-Alais can no longer organise discovery flights, flight simulations and visits to Jean Baptiste Salis Friends museum, the discovery of other worlds of aeronautics are being proposed.

Since February 2009, Aviation Sans Frontières organise Aeronautical Sites visits.

These visits are aimed at associations, foundations, hospitals, homes..... receiving persons (mainly young ones) who, due to their reduced mobility, their difficulties or their isolation, could never have imagined to reach the world of aviation.

They are offered free of charge, thanks to the mobilisation and friendly support of the hosts.

Except a few air bases, all these visits are located in the Ile de France area.

Duration is variable.

  • a little afternoon for most of them
  • a full day for Air Force bases
  • Morning + Afternoon for groups visiting Athis-Mons Regional Control Center

Agenda and dates of these visits (always escorted by ASF volunteers) are planned in agreement with our hosts.

IMPORTANT: These visits being made within operational departments, can be last minute modified or cancelled, according to operational criteria.

By the end of 2012, 65 visits would have been organised for 580 guests who during a few hours are able to forget their difficulties.

The Aviation Sans Frontières team presents their warmest thanks to all those who receive us, for their availability, their welcome and their eagerness to help our guests to discover their profession as well as the unknown aspects of the aeronautic world which are inexhaustible.

Thanks to them our guests could approach a domain which they probably thought inaccessible, and will keep for a long time the souvenir of an exceptional experience.
